Is this course right for me?

This course is for experienced players who can confidently play a range of major, minor or dominant 7th chords. In this course you will learn:

  • Read music TAB to play intermediate melodies on the ukulele.

  • Learn 17 chords.

  • Intermediate fingerpicking.

  • Learn the notes on a ukulele up to the third fret.

  • Identifying the progression from major too minor or minor to major chords.

  • The parts of the ukulele.

  • Accompany a melody.

  • Identify key signatures and time signatures.

We’re here to help you develop your skill and confidence as a ukulele musician, whatever your musical experience. We’ll give you the steps, training and support to become the best musical version of yourself.     The course does not include an exam but it will prepare you to take your London college of music exam.

  • I do not live in the UK. Can I still take this course?

    Yes, this course is open to the UK and internationally.

  • Does this course include live classes?

    No, this is a self-directed course. We do offer face-to-face lessons in the City of Bath, UK.

  • What do I need to complete this course?

    A ukulele, London College of Music Ukulele grading handbook and a tuner.

  • Where can I get 1-1 support if I need help with the course material?

    Students can email us with questions, use our peer-support Facebook group or book a paid 1-1 live zoom lesson with a tutor.

  • I’ve never played the Ukulele before, can I still take this course?

    This course is best suited for beginner players who can confidently play and change between the C, F and G chord on the ukulele. But we’re thrilled you’re here.
